The sunny days

Sometimes I don't know where I belong to.

Sometimes I don't know where I wanna go.

Sometimes I feel that I am far from home,

and that I forgot what I used to know.

This is when I miss the sunny days,

the sand slipping between my toes,

the smell of the salt blowing in the wind,

and the waves wiping out what I wanna say.

And then it's when you open the door,

and I feel like you have never gone.

Home is always here if you are with me,

no matter how far we have left the sea.

You know that the sun is behind the clouds,

the river is smaller but the water flows,

the rocks are strong to hold bridges up,

and our hands are warm to keep cool away.

Sometimes we stay quiet when we have to talk,

Sometimes we wait when we have to move,

Sometimes we don't know how lucky we are,

'cos we have forgot what we used to be.

This is when we miss the sunny days,

the sand slipping between our toes,

the smell of the salt blowing in the wind,

and the waves wiping out what we wanna say.

Sometimes... (the sunny days)

Sometimes... (the sunny days)

Sometimes...

And then is when the sun rises high.

He's a bit shy but always shines.

You stare at me with that smile,

and chill together in a new sunny day,

Sometimes... (the sunny days)

Sometimes... (the sunny days)

Sometimes...
